At Magnolia Mobile Notary, we strive to provide timely, professional, and reliable notary services. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for services rendered.
1. General Policy
Due to the nature of notarial services — which are based on time, travel, and legal responsibilities — all completed notarizations are non-refundable.
2. Cancellations

Customer-Initiated Cancellations:

If you cancel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment, you will receive a full refund of any pre-paid fees.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total service fee.

No-Shows:
If you are not present at the scheduled time and location and do not notify us in advance, no refund will be issued.
3. Travel Fees
Mobile notary services often include a travel fee.

Travel fees are non-refundable once the notary has arrived at the location, even if the notarization cannot be completed due to client error (e.g., missing ID, incomplete documents, or signer unavailability).
4. Refusal to Notarize
The notary has the legal right to refuse to notarize a document if:

The signer lacks valid identification

The signer appears to be under duress or not mentally competent

The document is incomplete or suspicious

The request violates state laws or ethical obligations
In such cases, travel and time fees will not be refunded, but the notarial act fee will not be charged.
5. Errors and Rework
If a notarization error is caused by us (e.g., incorrect date or stamp), we will correct the mistake at no additional charge.

However, this does not apply to client errors such as wrong or incomplete documents or changes after the notary has signed/stamped.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us in writing at wbbarnett@yahoo.com within 7 days of the scheduled appointment. Please include:

Appointment date and time

Reason for the refund request

Any supporting documentation

We aim to respond to refund requests within 3 business days.

7. Policy Changes

Magnolia Mobile Notary reserves the right to update or modify this Refund Policy at any time. Updates will be posted on our website with the effective date.
